Tutorials
Three different tutorials help you to apply the model. The most important one is related to the step-by-step application for a simple test case. At the end three different types of applications are shown.
- Download STEP_TRAMM_UserGuide (PDF, 2.1 MB): Based on an explicit example landslide triggering and debris flow runout is computed with STEP TRAMM.
As basic input an elevation map must be defined. This can be done by two ways:
- Download Tutorial_Data_Preparation_QGIS (PDF, 2.2 MB): Download and process elevation fdata (DEM from USGS).
- Download Tutorial_ZonumSolutions (PDF, 418 KB): You may retrieve a maximum of 5000 data points directly from the web (“ZonumSolutions”)
STEP-TRAMM project files of the case studies of Mocoa and Sierra Leone published in external page EOS:
Important: these files and simulation results using STEP TRAMM software should be interpreted with care. The model works under several assumptions and simplifications. Additionally, data quality and resolution used (DEM, rainfall, …) also influence the model’s outcome.
