STEP-TRAMM

The model STEP TRAMM was developed to simulate rainfall induced landslides in any catchment around the globe.

  • STEP TRAMM simulates landslide triggering as progressive failure of loaded soil columns interconnected by mechanical bond
  • STEP TRAMM requires input information on elevation, vegetation pattern (forest coverage), soil textural class, and rainfall 
  • STEP TRAMM computes soil depth, discharge into river network, time and location of soil slides, runout pathways of released mass soil depth
