Planned Future Work
The following tasks are under consideration for the next phase of this project:
- Add representation of soil chemistry and interaction with vegetation
- Implement more complex vegetation processes based on recent developments in Tethys-Chloris and/or other models
- Sequester SOIL component of OLAM-SOIL so that it can be run as a stand-alone model or interfaced with other atmospheric models
- Work with developers and users of independent focused process models for possible linking with OLAM-SOIL; this will help enable process interaction with the full Earth climate system and foster interdisciplinary collaboration
- Apply OLAM-SOIL in selected research investigations
